5 Simple and Powerful Paleo Drinks

Paleo Drinks

Part of living is attempting to be as healthy as possible. This should improve your chances of an optimal life. Regardless of if you are just looking for a different type of diet, following a Paleo Guide, or going to the doctors office for evolutionary medicine, eating healthy is not always easy.

The good news is you can start by incorporating these 5 simple and powerful paleo drinks into your diet.

1. Simply Drink Untouched, Living Water

The original paleo drink was likely just water, so no paleo drink could be complete without it. But there is a catch because most of the commercially-sold water that you find in the store will not hydrate your body properly.

Filtered water is altered and usually treated with chemicals. What you want is water as nature intended, which means living water or alkaline water. You can purchase alkaline water from your local health food store or online. This untouched water is sourced from a spring.

2. Fermented Paleo Drinks are Acceptable

Many experts believe that ancient men drank different types of fermented drinks. Modern age knows of two types of fermented drinks: wine and beer. But ancient men probably drank a variety of fermented drinks that were a form of kombucha. The drinks are made by aging certain ingredients like potatoes or fruits with a starter culture.

3. A Little Warmth with a Cup of Tea

The paleo diet suggests that you stay away from coffee and other warm drinks that contain caffeine. This is because caffeine could have a negative effect on your body. You could become irritable or have trouble sleeping.

You should try herbal teas like green tea, which has properties that help your cardiovascular system. You can also drink cinnamon tea by crumbling a few cinnamon sticks in boiled water; then allow it to fuse for 15 minutes.

4. Drink A Little Raw Juice

The paleo diet does allow a little juicing, but you have to drink 100 percent real juice and no sugar can be added. You should remember that juicing is allowed, but it is also cautioned against. The reason is the pulp is removed, which takes out necessary fiber.

When it comes to drinking raw juice, remember less is more.

5. Almond Milk is a Good Replacement

The paleo diet does not allow the consumption of any type of dairy product, so of course you cannot drink milk. But you probably still crave a little milk sometimes. Almond milk will be a good replacement. Almond is great for your mental health as well as bone strength.

To make almond milk, just soak 1 cup of raw almonds for about 8 hours or overnight. Drain the almonds, and place them in a high-powered blender. Pour 3 1/2 cups of raw or living water into the blender. Add a pinch of salt, 1/4 a teaspoon of cinnamon, 4 pitted dates, and 1 chopped vanilla bean. Blend the mix, and drain through a nut milk bag. And that is all there is to it.

As you can see, there are definitely a few drinks that you can enjoy with the paleo diet. And they are all quite healthy for you.
