The holiday season is when everyone enjoys the company of their friends, family and colleagues. It’s also a time when people are busy and staying healthy can sometimes be difficult. However, there are a few ways to stay healthy during the holidays. They include eating right, exercising, staying hydrated and proper supplementation.

Eating Right
Staying healthy during the holidays requires healthy eating. The best way to eat is the way the cavemen and early humans ate, which includes foods such as meat. veggies, roots, fruits, fish and nuts. In other words, stick to the paleo diet throughout the holiday season. In short, if a caveman would eat something, then people today can eat it, but if a caveman didn’t eat it, then people today shouldn’t eat it.

The main reasons why following a paleo diet is a must includes it has a positive impact on brain health and it has anti-inflammatory benefits. A person will also consume more iron and they will feel fuller in between meals, which may help them lose weight. A lot of people gain weight during the holidays, but following a paleo diet is a great way to keep weight off or lose it.

Everyone becomes busier during the holidays, but this is no excuse to not exercise. Lack of exercise can lead to weight gain and a bunch of other negative effects. People need to understand that they don’t have to workout for hours on end in order to remain healthy. Exercise can be done quickly and in short bursts. For example, people can follow the below workouts:

1. Bodyweight Workout – Push-ups, bodyweight squats, reverse push-ups, dips and planks can be performed and make up an entire workout. Do three quick sets of each exercise and do as many reps as possible per set. This workout may not seem like much, but it is very effective and can help a person get into great shape.

2. Weight Workout – Lifting heavy weights and doing 6-9 sets in total for each body part is all that’s really needed to get the benefits of weight workouts. Create a routine that includes training each body part throughout the week or a routine that will have the entire body trained in 3-4 days. Weight workouts can be completed within 15-20 minutes, so there’s no need to set aside a lot of time.

3. Cardio Workout – Going for a 15 minute jog or run on a daily basis can keep a person fit and healthy during the holidays. Walking on an incline on a treadmill for 15 minutes can do wonders too. Just choose any cardio exercise and do it for 15-20 minutes.

Choose to do one of the above workouts at least 3-4 times per week. Keep workouts 15-20 minutes long. Another good tip is to walk as often as possible. For example, park in the farthest parking spot at the grocery store or the mall or walk up and down the stairs a few time. Basically, walk whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Staying Hydrated
It’s easy to forget to not drink water during the holidays. Unfortunately, a lot of people turn to soda or other unhealthy drinks that they can easily get at fast food restaurants or the grocery store. A person should always keep a bottle of water on hand. The last thing anybody wants is to pass out because of not being hydrated.

Proper Supplementation
Let’s face it, people are too busy to get the nutrients they need. Not everyone is going to be able to stick to a paleo diet. However, proper supplementation can be achieved, thanks to supplements such as Patriot Power Greens. It’s green juice powder that contains more than 30 organic fruits and vegetables, 10 probiotic strains and seven digestive enzymes.

Patriot Power Greens is great for diabetics, as well as those who have blood sugar issues. It only contains 15 calories, and it can keep inflammation at bay. The bottom line is if a person wants to be healthy this holiday season, then they need to take a good supplement.

Staying healthy during the holidays isn’t as complicated as most people make it out to be. Follow the above tips/advice and enjoy being healthier during the holiday season.
